With the constant evolution of the COVID-19 situation, we hereby would like to update our customers on the impact on our activities and on the availability of our products and services.
As an employer, we have an important role in protecting employee health and safety, and limiting the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. To this end, we have taken additional initiatives in line with the latest local authorities’ measures and health organisations’ recommendations, such as maximising work from home and reorganising operational teams to minimise contact and reduce the risk of exposure.
Most of the activated carbon and filtration aid products manufactured and distributed by Chemviron are from European and USA origin. All our production facilities – apart from our perlite manufacturing plant in Foggia, Italy – are currently in operation and, to the best of our knowledge, we currently do not anticipate major changes.
As of today, we are not facing significant disruptions in our logistics and transport operations in Europe and in the USA.
We continue closely monitoring the evolution of the situation and updating our measures to new developments. In that respect, a global impact on activated carbon availability from Asia is expected following the very recent lockdown measures taken by several countries and the maritime transport difficulties in the region.
